 Each One Reach One

Reach out today and talk to a friend, relative or colleague about the CPCU program. Let them know how valuable earning the designation has been to your career. Through the Each One Reach One campaign, the Society is asking all members to find one new CPCU student and then help him or her to get a good strong start. Read all about it and
complete the form on the Society Web site. If your new student takes their first exam by June 15, 2010, you will be entered into a contest for an Apple iPod touch!

 Haiti Emergency Relief Fund

The CPCU Society Board of Directors
established a Haiti Emergency Relief Fund to match contributions made by members and chapters.  Our chapter agreed to take up a collection at our February meeting and match what our members gave (up to $500).  Total donations were $445 from the membership, another $445 from our Chapter, and together this $890 will be matched by the national CPCU Society for a grand total of $1,780 going to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause!

 In Memoriam

D. Ross Cooper, Jr. passed away recently after a long battle with cancer.  Ross worked as an Independent Insurance Agent in Tulsa for many years, most recently with Rich & Cartmill.  He received the CPCU designation in 1982 and served as president of the Northeastern Oklahoma chapter from 1986-1987.  A donation has been sent by the chapter to the Osteopathic Founders Foundation in memory of Ross.
